numerunique was once denied a parcel delivery under the pretext that there was neither a name nor a doorbell at the address of its head office.
Indeed, there is no doorbell and the door is tall and the street number is above; one needs to tilt one's head to see it. Maybe it's too demanding for delivery drivers, especially those who specialise in leaving attempted-delivery notices…
Anyway, this is fixed by a nice-looking professional plate, laser-cut and engraved:
And about the doorbell, the plate states there is definitely no doorbell and asks to use the knocker.
A knocker has a much lower carbon footprint (at least in use) than a doorbell, not to mention video intercoms. Alas, it is not widespread enough, so some delivery drivers are at a loss as to how to use it. Yet they can no longer claim that there is no name at that address.
